Citizens' preferences and valuation of urban nature: Insights from two choice experiments

Urban nature increases the liveability of cities and can improve their resilience to climate change. However, value urban often remains unknown, which results in its omission from planning decisions. Particularly valuation small-sized understudied. This study therefore employs a stated preference methodology estimate economic seven types small four associated ecosystem services. We perform two choice experiments: one with parks, forest green corridors another even smaller (green roofs, walls, street trees beds). The analysis show that residents are willing pay more for former but not latter types. parks valued most, followed by forests corridors.
